“The Splendor of Baroque”

at the American Italian Cultural Center (537 S. Peters Street, New Orleans, 70130 LA)

The LABCO Baroque Festival opens with an evening celebrating the beauty, passion, and brilliance of Baroque music. Featuring masterpieces from the Italian and European tradition, this concert invites audiences into a world of elegance, drama, and artistic splendor. Music by Vivaldi and Haendel, with Jessica Clayton (soprano), Anna Yeager (soprano) and Calloway Cieslak (piano).

“Celebrating Vivaldi - The Four Seasons”

at the Basilica of St. Stephen (1025 Napoleon Ave, New Orleans, LA 70115)

LABCO  presents “Celebrating Vivaldi – The Four Seasons” at the Basilica of St. Stephen featuring violin soloist Victor Correa Cruz.

This special concert celebrates the timeless genius of Antonio Vivaldi through one of the most beloved masterpieces in classical music history.

With vivid musical imagery, dramatic contrasts, and extraordinary virtuosity, The Four Seasons takes audiences on a journey through nature, emotion, and the changing moods of the year.

“Venice to Versailles”

at St. Joseph Hall by St. Francis Xavier Church (444 Metairie Rd, Metairie, LA 70005)

A musical journey from the vibrant elegance of Venice to the grandeur of the French court at Versailles. This concert explores the contrasts and connections between Italian and French Baroque styles through refined and expressive masterpieces. Featuring Dennette McDermott (traversiere) Douglas Bakenhus (baroque bassoon), Brian King (theorbo) and Riccardo Leónida (baroque violin).

“Baroque Sunrise”

at Audubon Park - Newman Bandstand - New Orleans (Click here to see the map)

Experience the peaceful beauty of Baroque music at sunrise in the heart of Audubon Park. An intimate open-air performance welcoming the new day with music and nature. Music by Bach, Leclair, Boismortier, Tartini, featuring Dennette McDermott (traversiere), Douglas Bakenhus (baroque bassoon), Brian King (theorbo).

 

Free admission. Attendees are welcome to bring their own chair.

“Baroque After Hours”

at The Garden District Book Shop - The Rink 2727 Prytania Street - New Orleans LA 70130

“Baroque After Hours” closes the Louisiana Baroque Festival with an intimate and elegant late-afternoon gathering celebrating the beauty and atmosphere of Baroque music in a unique and welcoming setting.

People will enjoy live performances by LABCO – Louisiana Baroque Chamber Orchestra featuring Jessica Clayton, Anna Yeager, and Calloway Cieslak with music by  Vivaldi, Handel, and Mozart.

 

Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy beverages and light fare available through the venue’s bar while celebrating the conclusion of LABCO Baroque Festival
